Sunshine Community Facility Upgrade

Accuraco was engaged by Jesuit Social Services (JSS) to deliver project management and superintendent services for the refurbishment of its Sunshine facility at 18 Hertford Road, supporting the ongoing delivery of inclusive community services across office, specialist teaching and counselling spaces. The project involved reconfiguring and modernising the existing tenancy to meet operational requirements, retaining selected elements including the front-of-house area, staff amenities, grid and tile ceilings, and boardroom, while upgrading finishes, spatial planning and building services throughout the remaining areas.
During construction, latent conditions associated with roof water ingress required investigation, remediation and waterproofing rectification, with works coordinated to minimise programme impacts and protect refurbished areas. External works were limited to roof-mounted mechanical condenser units and associated cowls. Accuraco also liaised with Brimbank City Council to confirm that the proposed works, including the integration of Class 9b educational spaces, did not trigger a Planning Permit requirement.
