The GPT Group engaged Accuraco to project manage the design and construction of Space & Co’s new co-working facility on Level 22 of 8 Exhibition Street, Melbourne.
Space & Co provides professional and creative workspaces for entrepreneurs, small businesses and project teams. Following successful launches at Melbourne Central and 530 Collins Street, Space & Co expanded into this boutique building with a deliberately more luxurious offering, in keeping with the building’s premium status and its outlook across Greater Melbourne.
The brief called for a polished industrial theme, blending luxe and raw finishes. The floor provides multiple meeting spaces, a mix of private and semi-private work areas, and a separate licensed café run by an independent operator, offering an informal setting for breakout meetings.
The scope included demolition of the existing tenancy, construction of the co-working environment including meeting rooms, breakout areas and collaborative zones, furniture procurement, and the installation and upgrade of mechanical, electrical, communications, security and hydraulic services.
