Western Region Disaster Recovery
Parks Victoria
This program manages the restoration of critical visitor infrastructure across state and national parks in regional Victoria, primarily in response to the October 2022 flood events. Our role spans client-side project management, contract superintendency, forensic investigation coordination, tender packaging, and insurance claim support through Loss Adjuster liaison.
Works span a broad range of asset types across multiple remote locations, including the O’Briens Crossing day carpark at Lerderderg State Park, Trentham Falls lookout toilet block, Dereel Lagoon fencing and signage, Koala Park pedestrian footbridge, Ralphs Bridge, Currawong Falls Walking Track at Aireys Inlet, Jarosite Mines Track and Ironbark Basin Nature Trail in the Anglesea region, Maits Rest Carpark near Apollo Bay, and the Goldfields and Dry Diggings Walking Track at Hepburn Regional Park — addressing damage caused by flooding, storm events, fallen trees, fire, and associated landslip activity.
The program also includes coordination of recovery works for assets transferred under the Great Ocean Road and Environs Protection Authority (GORCAPA) framework including walking tracks and the Cora Lynn footbridge requiring cross-agency liaison to progress insurance recovery documentation and physical reinstatement for newly transferred assets.
